Sienna Naturals' Rooted in Care Philanthropic Fund is committed to addressing the negative health impacts of toxic beauty products through clean formulations. By supporting partner organizations like Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP), whose research saw three-quarters of the toxic chemicals in tested beauty products are fragrance chemicals, with a quarter linked to serious health issues. Impacting 60% of the population, 75% of the products marketed to people with non-straight hair are made with toxic, cancer-causing chemicals. The Fund partners with organizations, including BCPP, PsychoHairapy, and California Black Women’s Health Project, to drive systemic changes through health advocacy, awareness, and empowerment, promoting safer beauty standards and broader health initiatives, including cancer prevention and mental well-being. The Fund aims to improve health outcomes and empower individuals across communities by focusing on initiatives that prioritize holistic wellness.
