Why Now
Additional approaches are needed to address our mental health crisis. The long term impact of racism in people of color include symptoms of traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression. One area of emerging research has been testing the efficacy of novel pharmacologically assisted therapies for the treatment of trauma, depression, and anxiety in clinical settings. The Tzeda Fund for mental health supports community organizations and practitioners in the application of psilocybin in clinical settings in BIPOC communities to improve mental health outcomes.
